A. Laverack & Son have been trading for more than 150 years from the same site on the High Street, Holme-on-Spalding-Moor. For five generations, the Laverack’s have been supplying high quality, locally reared beef, pork, lamb and poultry.
The business started life with a butchers shop but the bakery was added almost 25 years ago. When current owners Tim Laverack and his wife Dawn got married they started to bake pork pies and things seemed to carry on from there. Now with over 30 employees and a strong customer following A.Laverack & Son now has two thriving retail outlets- a butcher’s and a baker’s- and wholesale arm supplying 80 shops, cafes, restaurants, pubs and other businesses across Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire.
Encouraged by our success in the wholesale bakery, we seized the opportunity to sell our savoury products through a shop of our own, The Holme Made Bakery. In 2010, The Holme Made Bakery celebrated its 20th anniversary with a new shop refurbishment to cater for the growing demand for our baked goods and products.
Year on Year
Business growth over the years has come through hard work and determination. With us having more employees now then ever before, we aim to develop and train people within our business. Having recently employed six apprentices this has aided us to bring new fresh ideas to the table and challenge us in the workplace every day.
