Laveracks Story

The Story So Far

A.Laverack & Son have now been trading from the High Street in Holme upon Spalding more for over 150 years. From humble beginnings the business started out as a traditional butchers shop supplying locally reared Beef, Pork & Lamb.

Things were to change when Tim Laverack married his wife Dawn and they started to bake Pork Pies and business seemed to develop from there. It is over 25years ago they added their second retail outlet Holmemade Bakery to co-inside with the ever so popular butchers shop on the high street. But they also developed a wholesale arm supplying over 100 retail outlets, cafes, pubs, restaurants, farm shops and others across Yorkshire & North Lincolnshire.

Business growth over the years has come through hard work and determination and now with the help of the fifth generation in Laveracks their children Amy & Henry helping in all aspects of business and most recently opening a flagship store in the market town of Pocklington.

The demand for locally sourced produce and animal welfare is something that is close to the companies hearts and we believe as an organisation we do everything in our power to provide the highest quality produce with the welfare of the animal put first. Having built great relationships with farmers and producers in our area our food miles from field to fork can be as low as seven miles.
